The SANDS Advisory Council is an exciting opportunity for adults with Down syndrome to take an active role in shaping the future of SANDS programming. Open to individuals ages 18 and older, the council empowers members to have a meaningful voice and real choice in the activities and events offered through our Adult Opportunity Club.
Council members are at the forefront of important decisions—sharing ideas, providing feedback, and helping guide the direction of programs that foster connection, independence, and community engagement. It’s also a chance to build valuable life and leadership skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Whether you’re passionate about planning events, advocating for your peers, or simply looking to get more involved, the Advisory Council is a place where your voice matters and your contributions make a difference.
